Children safe, police investigating threatening calls to West Fargo elementary school

West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A scary day for parents and students at Freedom Elementary in West Fargo.

West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A scary day for parents and students at Freedom Elementary in West Fargo.

Three threatening calls came in to the school around 1:45. After school officials notified police, the school immediately went into lock down.

Some students were able to be bused home, while others had to be checked out by their parents. Parents say they were expecting the worst.

Jessica Taffe, Parent: “I'm glad they took the precautions they did and did the lockdown and because you never know, with the circumstances were and so I'm glad they did what they did, I'm just glad that we can go home and she's with me now and I know where she's at.”

The incident is still being investigated.
