Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - A south Moorhead neighborhood is roped off after a shooting left one man with at least two gunshot wounds. He's been taken to the hospital.

Police say they're looking for two black men in a black or blue Dodge Intrepid. One man was wearing a blue puffy coat, the other suspect was wearing dark clothing.

Police say the shooting happened either inside or near this house right behind me, 1107 17th Street South in Moorhead, just blocks away from campus.

They say a victim was shot at least two times around 3:40 this afternoon and taken to the hospital by a friend.

Before police arrived on scene, two black males fled in a dark blue or black Dodge Intrepid heading north on 17th St.

When police got here, they taped off the location and questioned several other people about the incident, some who were taken away in squad cars.

Several officers are still here now investigating.

Lt. Tory Jacobson, Moorhead Police Dept.: “Our investigators are scattered around here now talking with anyone that might have seen anything trying to learn as much information as we can about this but we contacted both Concordia and MSUM and provided information about this consistent with the clarity act.”

MSUM just sent out emails and text messages warning of one black male with a blue puffy coat carrying a silver handgun and one male of unknown race carrying a long gun.

We still don't have any updates on the victim’s condition, or know what sparked the shooting, but anyone with more information is asked to contact Moorhead police.
