Minnesota Authorities team with Homeland Security in large drug bust

Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Moorhead Police Narcotics Investigators, along with the Clay County Sheriff’s Department, the Department of Homeland Security and the Dilworth Police Department, made a significant arrest and large contraband seizure Tuesday.
A narcotics search warrant was executed on Tuesday afternoon at 404 2nd Avenue Northwest in Dilworth. As a result of the search, authorities arrested Lawrence Kent Brink, 33, on two felony charges of controlled substance possession, felony ineligible person possessing a firearm, gross misdemeanor child endangerment, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police seized 32 pounds of high-grade marijuana from California, 9 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, 15 jars of marijuana hash oil/powder, over $25,000 in cash, a 2001 Chrysler and an AK-47 Rifle. The narcotics seized could value over $250,000.
Brink is being held at the Clay County Jail pending a long form complaint from the Clay County Attorney’s Office. The investigation is on-going and could result in additional arrests.
