Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A bullet pierced through two walls before stopping in a Fargo apartment. No one was hurt, but a man admitted he was loading his 44 caliber handgun when it accidentally went off.
The bullet went through his closet, through the hallway, and into his neighbor's wall. Police say the man could face charges of unlawful discharge or neglect.
Sergeant Mark Lykken – Fargo Police Department: "Unfortunately they're happening more often than we'd like. I can recall another event that happened approximately four to five months ago, the same type of situation where a handgun went off in an apartment. They're extremely dangerous and people need to use caution when they're handling any type of firearm."
The apartment manager says tenants must keep their firearms in a locked container.
