West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A housing development north of West Fargo, prone to being cut off by floodwaters, is getting a new bridge. Work on the 300 foot long bridge will begin next spring in the Lake Shure development.
Floodwaters routinely wash out area roads stranding residents in about 30 homes. The isolation has lasted from a few days to as many as 45.
FEMA will pay the bulk of the $1.1 million cost of the new bridge.
