Dilworth, MN (WDAY TV) - The State of Minnesota wants you clean, not just that clean. State agencies have been ordered to stop buying anti-bacteria soap that contains triclosan.
The chemical has been found in several of Minnesota's lakes and rivers, after years of being discharged from water-treatment plants. At DGF schools, officials tell us they are ahead of the game.
Ken Hovde – DGF Maintenance: “We have changed over three years ago, everything to green, all our floor cleaners are green, everything we have is pretty much green.”
The Minnesota Legislature will host a hearing this week on the chemical used in those anti bacteria soaps.
