North Dakota legislature ends halftime break

(WDAY TV) -- The North Dakota Legislature is about to end its halftime break.

Lawmakers will be back to work Wednesday after the "crossover." So far 341 House bills have passed and now head to the Senate. On the flip side, the Senate approved 293 of its proposed bills.

GOP leaders say they're happy with progress on property tax relief, infrastructure and setting aside money for the future. In almost an exact opposite quote, A democratic leader says the Legislature hasn't been focused on effectively cutting property taxes and finding ways to prepare the state for life after the boom.
