Charges are dropped for an Arkansas man accused of murder in Minot

(WDAY TV) -- An Arkansas man, who has been detained for nearly a year in a half on an attempted murder charge in North Dakota, sees a sudden huge swing in his favor.
Thomas Mashburn was set to go on trial this Monday, instead he found himself on a plane Friday morning headed back to Arkansas. A judge dropped the charge because of a lack of evidence and credibility to of witnesses.
Mashburn was accused of stabbing another man in the throat outside of a Minot bar in 2011.
