FARGO – Police responded to a three-vehicle crash at 45th Street and 17th Avenue South to about 12:30 p.m. today.
Traffic will be routed away from that intersection for an hour or two this afternoon while police investigate the crash and clear debris, said Fargo police Lt. Joel Vettel.
The crash involved two collisions, Vettel said. First, a white car heading south on 45th Street attempted a left turn onto 17th Avenue when it struck the back of another vehicle. The car spun and collided head-on with a southbound white SUV.
The second collision caused heavy damage to both vehicles, Vettel said. The vehicle only involved in the first collision suffered minor damages.
Both drivers and one passenger from the second crash were taken to the hospital with injuries, Vettel said. All three were adults.
The incident is still under investigation, Vettel said. Police are working on identifying the individuals involved and determining if alcohol was a factor in the crash, he said.
