Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- Thousands of men from all over the area swarmed the Alerus Center this weekend for the very manly, "Men's Show."
A good title when your dealing with boats, campers and motorcycles,
but there's also something for the ladies.
Dean Venske came to sell boats.
Dean: "Business has been great, sold a couple of boats today and one yesterday so I'm extremely happy."
While Shane Bruns sells energy drinks.
Shane: "We didn't know what to expect since it was our first year, but it definitely paid off. This has been a great showing so far, I've got a lot of good feedback."
Both men say the three day event helps them reach thousands of potential customers.
Dean: "I would say 3,000, 3,500 so far today."
Shane: "We've actually had a lot of people from out of town, down in Fargo, people from Iowa actually, Canada, so the atmosphere's been great."
While it may be called the Grand Forks Men's Show, there's plenty for the women and kids to smile about too.
Tammy Dahlen: "I like a lot of the things they have here as well. It isn't just for men."
Dahlen says she enjoys the food and drink samples. Some, like this pink lemonade energy drink, were made with women in mind..but that doesn't stop men from trying it out.
Shane: "They keep it secret, but they've liked it so far."
Face painter Kelly Smith says while the kids play, the parents talk business.
Kelly: "As the parents are standing here they're kind of negotiating their other deals why they're waiting for their kids to get their faces painted."
With faces painted and deals made...the men's show is over for the year.
Coming up in March is the Healthy Living Expo at the Alerus Center.
