Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- Hundreds gathered at the Chester Fritz Auditorium in Grand Forks tonight for the Price is Right Live Show.

Host Jerry Springer tells us that the traveling show is all about kicking back and having some fun.

Some folks drove hundreds of miles to see their favorite game show and their favorite television host

Kelsey Wouters: "We drove 400 miles for this so we're ready."

And so is Jerry Springer....

Jerry Springer: "It's a great opportunity to do an iconic game show, as well as do comedy because you're always talking with the people, the contestants, joking around with them, so it's a good time."

Springer admits he was surprised when he was asked to host the show..

Springer: "It's a totally different take on it. It's still the same game, and it's very family oriented. But I probably joke around a little bit more, maybe that's what's different."

While the hosts may change from time to time, the winning stays the same.

Alyssa Benn: "It would be nice to win a car, or moolah or just anything."

Springer: "It is a good time. I mean forget me, it's just a great show and everyone's in a good mood. There's no down side to this show. It's just fun."

But will all this fun continue for Springer?

Springer: "I've had such a wonderful life in terms of what I get to do and things like that. So whatever's there is there. I'm going to obviously continuing doing my show, as long as people like it."

People do seem to like it...the Jerry Springer show is in it's 22nd year.

Springer: "I do my show back in Connecticut, I stay busy between Mondays and Tuesdays there."

But on Wednesdays through Sundays, Springer says he'll continue hosting the Price is Right Live.

The Price is Right Live show will continue touring the country and in Canada.
