Massachusetts (WDAY TV) -- A prestigious school on the east coast went on lockdown today after reports gunman carrying a long rifle and waring body armor.
Here's the scene as police swarmed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Officers couldn't turn up the man in an initial search, and soon found out the report turned out to be a hoax.
Students at MIT are famous for their smarts as well as stunts, they once put a police car on top of a domed campus building.
