BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A man says he will plead guilty for his role in the case of a man who was assaulted in North Dakota and left for dead in Montana.

Nicholas Woodford is one of five men accused in the kidnapping Robert Osterhout, who survived the August attack and was hospitalized with numerous bruises, cuts, broken ribs and a broken collarbone.

The 22-year-old Woodford is charged with three counts, including conspiracy to commit kidnapping.

Woodford filed a change of plea notice in federal court on Friday.

Court documents show that Osterhout was beaten with brass knuckles, cut with a razor blade, kicked, strangled and shocked with a stun gun. Police say he was then tied up, placed in the trunk of a car and transported to Montana.
