North Dakota senate endorses increasing sporting fees

North Dakota (WDAY TV) -- North Dakota's Senate has endorsed a bill to increase hunting, fishing and boating fees by about 15 percent.
The state Game and Fish Department requested the increase to maintain services and increase habitat. The agency director says license sales and fees have not kept up with inflation, and some haven't been raised in more than 30 years.
The increase would raise about $5 million over the next two years. The bill now goes to the House.
