Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - An NDSU survey shows "some" encouraging signs about drug and alcohol use among students.

According to the survey, fewer students are using marijuana. 11.4 percent in 2010, 9.5 percent in 2012. Nationally, more than 18% of college students used marijuana in the last 30 days.

Alcohol use remains virtually the same, or slightly higher, but DUI arrests, missing class or performing poorly in school has decreased.

The "CORE" survey is given to NDSU students every other year.
