Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Three released felons are getting a fresh start at a Fargo duplex.

As part of "Project Home” the North Fargo house is opening its doors to men just getting out of jail.

The project is a collaborative effort by Jail Chaplains Ministry and a Minnesota faith-based non-profit called "My Father’s House"

The renovated duplex will house three people, one who will serve as supervisor. All three will have to pay a portion of rent, but local donations cover all other costs.

John Henderson, My Father’s House Exec. Dir.: “Being reunited with the community and with their families, and a real reduction in criminal activity and recidivism and so we've seen some real positive results.

Gerri Leach, Jail Chaplains Exec. Dir.: “We really had nothing to be able to help them so ‘Project Home’ being here as a place where they can have safe and supportive house is just, it is so encouraging.”

They still have work to do but say the duplex should be ready by this Saturday.
