Bill Lopez, executive director of ShareHouse and Sister's Path was diagnosed with bladder cancer more than a year ago.
He's changed thousands of lives at ShareHouse, a nonprofit dedicated to providing chemical dependency treatment.
He says he's thankful for the community support during this difficult time.
Bill Lopez, ShareHouse/Sister’s Path Exec. Dir.: “There's definitely a correlation there that I see now, in a sense that now that I am the one that has a disease, folks are reaching out to me now and lifting me up and encouraging me as well.”
To help cover some of Lopez's medical costs, friends and family are hosting a benefit right now at the Ramada.
