Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Two Fargo squad cars tailed a bus full of students to Buffalo River State Park, checking on the driver after a concerning phone call.

Police say a third party called them after talking to the driver and had concerns with the driver's mental health.

Upon arrival police say the bus driver seemed fine but was taken in as part of protocol.

The route manager for Valley Bus says the driver was released shortly after entering the hospital with a note from the doctor saying he's fine.

Roger Peterson, Route Manager/Valley Bus: “He's fine there are no problems at all never at any time were any of the students in any danger of any type.”

Washington Elementary principal issued this letter to parents, explaining what happened. Officials say no one on the bus knew anything was going on during the drive to the park.
