Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Some people still didn't get the message, or chose to ignore it, that Moorhead would tow cars again in order to clear snow from the streets.
As of noon, more than 20 cars had been towed from the city's “Blue District.” However, not nearly the 125 cars towed earlier this month.
Despite the city and colleges getting the word out, people still parked on marked roads near campus. Moorhead police worked their way through tagging cars with bright towing flyers.
Sgt. Clint Stephenson, Moorhead Police: “We had a lot of vehicles that were towed the first time we did this a few weeks ago and we were hoping for better compliance this time around, but we still have quite a bit of violation around the campus.”
"Blue District" restrictions are also in place tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This time, there's no parking in front of buildings with odd-numbered addresses.
