West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The North Dakota state wrestling tournament just wrapped up this weekend. One of the stars three years ago was West Fargo's Scott Schiller.

He's now starting for one of the top teams in the nation, at Minnesota, where Schiller has racked up an 18-3 record, including a huge win a couple weeks ago against another national power in Iowa. Schiller had to redshirt his first year with the Gophers, but he's shining once he got his shot on the mat.

Scott Schiller, Minnesota Sophomore Wrestler: “College wrestling is just so much better so I definitely took a few beatings my redshirt year to get to where I'm at now. I had high expectations before the year started, wasn't a surprise I expected that of myself. I expect to win every match I wrestle, so my expectations are to be a Big 10 champ, a national champ and win the rest of my matches this year.”

Schiller was named Big Ten wrestler of the week earlier this year, Minnesota competes at the National Duals this weekend.
