Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The national weather service is planning to release an update flood outlook tomorrow and things have changed quite a bit since the last outlook about three weeks ago.

The weather service says significant snow has become a player in the seasonal spring outlook so the chance of spring flooding will likely increase from the six percent chance the Red River had to reach "major" flood stage this spring. That's 30-feet.

After the recent snowfalls, there's now 2 to 3 1/2 inches of water in the snowpack and we're in a snowy pattern. Our John Wheeler says odds are we will see some kind of flood, but as usual so much depends in the spring melt.
