That from an expert speaking to hundreds of soybean producers in our area, who gathered today at the Annual Northern Soybean Expo in Fargo.
Soybeans are the second leading crop in North Dakota. Our very own Cass County is the top producing county of soybeans in the entire country. Soybean check-off dollars from producers fund research into genetics and disease prevention as well as promote and market soybeans around the world.
Diana Beitelspacher-North Dakota Soybean Council: “Every other row of soybeans goes overseas and about 90 percent of North Dakota beans go to the pacific northwest and mainly to southeast Asia.
Soybean Grower supported trade agreements recently has meant an additional $16-billion in soy exports to Mexico, Chile, Canada and Morocco.
