Wahpeton-Breckenridge (WDAY-TV) - North Dakota can be a blue-print for the country, to create jobs and grow the economy.
That today, from Senator John Hoeven, speaking to the Wahpeton-Breckenridge Chamber of Commerce. Hoeven says those goals can be reached by, first, passing a farm bill. Hoeven says the bill saves billions of dollars on the deficit, streamlines farm programs, enhances crop insurance, and provides a no-cost sugar program.
Senator John Hoeven (R) North Dakota: “We have is a good farm bill. The farm bill we've had the last 5-years is a good farm bill. But we made it even stronger with enhanced crop insurance, and at the same time we found real savings, 23-billion dollars to help with the deficit and debt.”
Senator Hoeven says he's working with colleagues to re-introduce and pass the Farm Bill.
