Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- For the second Monday in a row, the northern valley is dealing with a big winter storm.
Winds gusting to 49 miles an hour at the Grand Forks airport and more than four inches of new snow created blizzard conditions in and outside of the city.
I-29 from Grand Forks to the Canadian border remains closed, as well as Highway 2 east. The national weather service says there was a lot of uncertainty with the storm as it came in from Canada.
Jim Kaiser with the National Weather Service says, "the western reaches, probably the Harvey, Stutsman county, north through the Devils Lake Basin, North in Baudette and Roseau areas they had six to eight inches of snow up there."
The Street Department didn't bring out street plows until about 1 O'clock this afternoon for safety reasons.
