Oil drillers break records in North Dakota

North Dakota (WDAY TV) -- It's now official, North Dakota oil drillers in 2012 smashed the previous record for barrels of crude oil.

North Dakota (WDAY TV) -- It's now official, North Dakota oil drillers in 2012 smashed the previous record for barrels of crude oil.

In 2012, 243 million barrels were pumped from the state's wells. It beats the previous record by more than 90-million barrels. North Dakota has set oil production records each year since 2004, the '04 record was 31 million barrels.
