Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Bison women's basketball team hasn't produced the amount of wins they would like so far this season, but they're hoping the biggest win comes off the court this year as the school has rallied around former player Hannah Linz who's career was cut short after a recurrence of Hodgkin's lymphoma.

NDSU started a fund named Hoops for Hannah about three weeks ago, looking for goodwill donations to help fund the medical costs as Linz has her second battle with this disease.

Dean Bresciani, NDSU President: "The one thing that is most important in these types of situations, feelings of not being alone, and Hannah and entire family has been touched by this, giving the entire student body something to hang on to."

Donations can be made all at remaining Bison home games, which NDSU has four left.
