BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota boxer Virgil Hill says he wants one more fight in the state to thank the fans.
Hill made the announcement on Thursday at the state Capitol in Bismarck. Hill says he doesn't have an opponent yet but he wants the fight to take place in North Dakota where he grew up.
The five-time world champion is to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame this summer. The 49-year-old Hill says he's been training in Los Angeles for the past year and feels fit.
Hill won an Olympic silver medal as a middleweight, and won 50 fights as a pro. His last victory came over Valery Brudov in 2006.
