Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Snow and ice on roads have prompted the North Dakota DOT to issue a travel alert for the southeast part of the state tonight.

The alert includes Fargo, Jamestown, Valley City, Wahpeton and surrounding areas.

Outside the city, we've heard of several roll-overs and cars sliding into the ditch, especially on the interstates.

The alert means conditions are such that you can still travel, but should be advised that conditions could change rapidly.

Authorities continue their warnings to slow down and drive according to the conditions.
