Hundreds of cars around the F-M area were trapped by piles from the plow, or, were nearly covered by blowing snow.
Crews are working around the clock to clear snow. And as you can tell by this massive pile -- there's a lot to move. It's forcing drivers to take matters into their own hands, but it's not easy.
Shouviller: " It's been pretty exhausting."
Exhausting might be an understatement. These women worked for hours. Shoveling. Pushing. And praying the car would break through snow drifts.
Schouviller: "dug that out with a snow shovel and we used mats to get traction in the ice."
In downtown Fargo,.good Samaritans, like Lawrence McGee, gave drivers a helping hand. Or shovel.
McGee: "I'm feeling great. That's what it's all about. Unity, uniting together, and coming together for a worthy cause."
Across the street, Julie Bienfang says she's digging out thanks to a helpful hint from her mother.
Bienfang: "Luckily advised me to get a shovel last night."
And once people did dig-out, their trouble wasn't necessarily over. On Main Avenue, this truck got stuck, and damaged trying to get over a compacted snow mound on a frontage road. Fluids spilled into the street, and firefighters were called in to help with the cleanup.
Khusntdinv: "The diesel is leaking, and I don't know what's happened."
By far, the most shocking video we have is of cars along Moorhead's Belsly Boulevard. Take a look at this. Tall snow drifts almost covered this car completely. It was one of many in a long line, stranded in the snow.
Plows couldn't even get all the way down the road. So when drivers do get to their vehicles, they'll have a huge clean-up project on their hands.
