(WDAY TV) -- There was Jay-Z, Mumford and Sons, and, Concordia's Rene Clausen.

Clausen may be the face of the well-known Concordia Choir. But the "in-demand" composer is being congratulated today for winning three Grammys.

Clausen's award winning work was performed by the Kansas City Chorale which has a C-D called; "Life and Breath, Choral Works by Rene Clausen." The Concordia director says the award says a lot about the demand for good choral music nationwide.

Dr. Rene Clausen says, "choral music in this country is growing and I am grateful for that and it is because the voice is organic and it is born into us as human beings."

Clausen is in his 27th year at Concordia.
