A community gathers for a breast cancer benefit

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Grand Cities community is rallying around a woman diagnosed with Stage 4 Breast Cancer.

Hundreds of people are at a benefit at the Eagles Club to support Jen Anderson Sullivan. It goes until 8 tonight. There's a bake sale, a taco meal, a silent auction and music and games.

Sullivan, now bound to a wheelchair, says she's getting her strength back and still keeps a positive attitude.

Sullivan says, "It just feels good to be back to a little bit more normalcy. It's been a long trip, we're still going, but we're making progress so it's good."

All funds raised go toward Sullivan's medical needs and day to day expenses.
