Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) -- A Grand Forks woman with cerebral palsy has a rather unique bond with her service dog Willoh.

23-year-old Anna Magnuson has spent the last five years training the boxer mix herself. It's now fully certified as a service and therapy dog.

She can flip on light switches, open doors and even dial 911 if needed. But Willoh doesn't just help with physical needs, she's helping Anna change her life.

Magnuson says, "I've been forced to become more social because of her. Because before people would kind of be scared to talk to me because they would see the wheelchair and wouldn't know what to think."

Magnuson says training your own service dog isn't for everyone. It takes patience, and a lot of hard work.
