Minnesota (WDAY TV) -- One of Minnesota Governor Dayton's right hand men is traveling the state, touting the recently released proposed budget.

Minnesota Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans made a stop in Moorhead this evening. Frans gave the cliff notes to the governor's proposed budget at an interfaith event.

Several local and state elected officials were on hand. Frans says they've developed a plan that will eliminate the state's deficit in 4 years.

Myron Frans, MN Revenue Commissioner, says, "this budget does that, the question is if people agree that this is the right budget. No one has challenged the numbers they may not like the way we do it and they may challenge how to do it but no one's challenged the fact that it's an honest budget."

Frans says the state has had 9 deficits in the last 11 years. The Governor's proposal will begin to be presented in a week or so.
