Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Students are teaming up with the North Dakota Safety Council to fight drinking and driving.

The "one is one too many campaign" kicked off at South Fargo High. These students, part of the Deca program, are promoting traffic safety by using simulators like this.

They demonstrate how destructive texting and driving can be. Simulated drinking goggles show the disorientation caused when people drink.

Andrew Kelsh says, "We believe that targeting teenagers is the most important age to get them because that is the age where you form your opinions regarding these things and that's the age where you are actually going to make a change for the future."

Last week, the advocacy group explained the importance of their campaign to legislators in Bismarck.
