Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Businesses in Fargo are gearing up for what could be a major winter storm.

As people rush in for groceries, store managers are making sure their shelves are stocked. It's not just a busy time for shoppers, store employees are just as stressed trying to keep up with business.

Managers say they'll see about a 25 percent boom leading up to a predicted storm. Shoppers mainly look for essentials like milk, eggs, and snack foods. So managers say they like to add extra employees and make sure shelves are full beforehand and cashiers are ready for the rush.

Tim Rhode, Cash Wise Store Manager, says, "It's a little stressful but we try to add staff. We have a number of experienced cashiers who can help us through times like this, a good management group that can help us weather the storm so to speak."

Doug Vanyo, front end manager, says, "We just like to keep our spirits up, you know, keep the staff smiling, interact with the customers as best we can."

Coming up at six, I'll give you an in depth look at how stores stock up.
