West Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - West Fargo students are jumping at the chance to break their own record in North Dakota's Jump Rope for Heart campaign.

Last year, students at Osgood Kindergarten Center raised over $13,000, making them the number one fundraiser in the state.

Today, they celebrated that achievement and kicked off this year's campaign. Their goal is to top last year's numbers, and learn some lessons along the way.

Rory Seeman, Physical Education: "To kind of realize that we need to eat right, we need to have a lot of exercise every day. And I think that's a really huge deal of it."

Many area schools are participating in the program.
