Transplant update for Jordan Peterson

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It was an emotional night for a Fargo family in Texas waiting for a double lung transplant for their son. Ten year-old Jordan Peterson has cystic fibrosis.

According to his Caringbridge site, the family got a call Monday night saying that donor lungs were available. The family rushed to Texas Children's Hospital.

Jordan was given IV's and prepped for surgery, but the surgical team couldn't leave to get the organs because of bad weather. Jordan's dad says Jordan was crushed, but Dan Peterson reminded Jordan of what the donor family was going through and their sorrow was greater than theirs.
