National Pancake Day helps IHOP raise money for children's charity

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - It’s is National Pancake Day. As thousands dine on a free stack at IHOP, children at Sanford are benefiting. The restaurant is offering a free, short stack of pancakes all day.

In return they are asking for a donation to the local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Sanford Children's. All IHOP restaurants around the country are joining in hoping to raise $3 million.

Tammy Smith – IHOP Manager: “Our community is so kind and so generous and so giving but it’s just a fun day people are happy having fun there's excitement and there's good food.”

All of the money raised locally stays to help local children.
