Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- The Harbaugh brothers aren't the only siblings making headlines in the world of sports. As teammates at Fargo South, the Lloyd brothers are making an impact, not seen in EDC boys basketball, in more than 20 years.
Mike Hendrickson: "These little guys. I call 'em little because they're about 5-9, 5-10....both are very good athletes, both strong for their size."
The Bruin basketball team has been led this season by Paxton and Colton Lloyd. Paxton is the senior point guard, Colton the junior shooting guard.
Hendricson: "Paxton is that playmaker, does get his points, but he'd like to get 9-10 assists also....Colton follows that 3 point line."
Paxton: "He's more of a pure shooter...I'll give him the better shooter"
Colt: "He's quicker, loves to penetrate and dish."
Despite their differences, the brothers both share the ability to put the ball in the basket. Both are in the top 10 in the EDC in scoring. Colton averages 19 points a game, Paxton 17.
Hendrickson: "It is pretty neat...not a lot of brothers in this area that are at this level."
The last time brothers on the same team made an impact as big as the Lloyds in the EDC were the Torgrimson's from West Fargo, more than 20 years ago. Or to put it another way, before Paxton and Colton were even born!
Colton: "It's been awesome. We've been playing together for about 10 years and we know it's coming to an close so we're trying to make the most of it."
Paxton: "On the court, we don't think of each other as brothers, only teammates."
And both admit something else...
Colton: "We wouldn't be the players we are without each other."
And the Bruins surely wouldn't be the team they are without the Lloyd's.
The Bruins are currently 5th in the EDC they host Central on Tuesday.
