UPDATED: No travel advised in northwest North Dakota; alert still in effect for other regions

FARGO – No travel is advised today in northwestern North Dakota due to snow, blowing snow and near zero visibility.

The region includes Wil-liston, Crosby, Bowbells, Watford City, New Town and Stanely.

Travelers heading west toward Devils Lake or Dickinson should also watch for difficult condi-tions.

North Dakota Depart-ment of Transportation issued a travel alert, up-dated at 1 p.m., for areas surrounding Devils Lake, Minot, Williston, Beach, Dickinson and Killdeer due to snow and blowing snow causing reduced visibility conditions.

Travel alerts mean it’s still safe to travel, but drivers may encounter challenging conditions and are encouraged to slow down.
