Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- In this brutally cold weather, it's nice to hop into a warm vehicle.

And people in the F-M area are taking advantage of remote-car starters. Just in the last two weeks Tintmasters says they have been flying off the shelves.

In mid-January the motor company told us sales were up by 25 percent. With business booming, they say it all depends on the weather.

Jason Christopherson with Tintmasters Motorsports, says, "Temperatures in the 40's and 50's, people will just put off until next year. Where as when this year, 20 below we are having December, January being normal or maybe even a bit below normal, people will prioritize and put money towards a remote start versus other things."

Tonight at ten, reporter Andrea Hubbell shows us the pro's and cons of auto start.
