Cold Spring, MN (WDAY TV) - The part-time officer who was working with a Cold Spring police officer the night he was killed has resigned.
Greg Reiter was with Officer Thomas Decker Nov. 29 when Decker was shot behind a Cold Spring bar.
Decker's killing remains unsolved.
The police chief says people jumped to conclusions without the facts, and that didn't contribute to a healthy environment for Reiter.
Reiter had been on paid leave since the shooting.
