Hawley, MN (WDAY TV) - It’s a reminder to slow down, even if the roads look good.
The state patrol says the driver of a car hit a patch of ice Westbound on Highway 10, went through the median, rolled, and ended up on its roof in the other lane.
The driver was wearing a seatbelt, and his airbags did deploy. The trooper says his injuries were minor.
Lonnie Wambach – Minnesota State Trooper: “I mean this time of the year, this kind of weather, you can be driving along and the roads are perfectly fine, and you'll hit a stretch, and in a matter of seconds, that's very icy, and it's going to change real rapidly and you have to be aware of that, and be ready to reduce your speed and be prepared.”
The driver was the only person in the car.
