Fargo-Moorhead (WDAY TV) - Trains whizzing through Fargo have been more noisy than usual. The F-M area is considered a quiet zone.

Recently, we've heard a few complaints about whistles sounding off at night. We contacted BNSF and it turns out there is a construction project near the Red River, which allows the trains to sound their horns.

Amy Goffe-McBeth - BNSF: "We have crews that are doing some maintenance on the railroad bridge at the Red River. For the safety of those employees, who are conducting the work, the train crews will be sounding the horn.">

Anytime there is safety at stake, BNSF says it's appropriate to have their engineers sound the whistle.
