Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - It's one of the best stories this winter being written by the Concordia women's basketball team.
The last two weeks have been especially impressive; the Cobbers have won 11 of 12 and 5 in a row, knocking off the top two teams in the MIAC in successive games during that streak. In the process, Concordia's taken over first place in the league with just 7 games to play.
Emily Thesing – Concordia Junior Guard: “We're sitting in a great spot. I think that we realize that we control our own destiny. We'd love to host a tournament play up here and we realize that one game at a time we can do it. We have a target on our back, but we're willing to take the challenge.
Jessica Rahman – Concordia Head Coach: “There's a lot of the season left and we don't want to lose focus on what got us here. That's basically the attitude of 'we can do it',’ keep a positive attitude and then just working together and then just get better every day.”
