Fargo-Moorhead (WDAY TV) - The familiar sound of snowblowers can be heard across the metro. People are busy moving the nearly six inches of snow dumped on the area in the past 24 hours.

Up to a foot fell on parts of west-central Minnesota and had many schools starting late or canceling classes. Moving all the white stuff can take some home owners several hours to clear and cause a little difficulty in planning their day.

Jim Postema – Clearing Snow: “When you've got two kids with busy schedules and all that. It depends on how tired today is a nice day so I needed the exercise, it's a good day.”

Moorhead has issued its first snow removal declaration around MSUM, Concordia, and Eventide. Parking restrictions are posted and enforced so crews can remove the snow.
