(WDAY TV) -- It has been far from a typical start to the 2nd half of the season for the UND men's hockey team. They finished with just 3 wins in the month of January, the least amount since Dave Hakstol's first season as Head Coach back in 2005.

Which may not be all bad, that year UND went 2-3-1 in January and made it all the way to the NCAA championship before losing to Denver.

Something tells me though, that Dave Hakstol and his team don't want a history lesson today. UND played much better Saturday night against Saint Cloud State, outshooting the Huskies 36-18, but settling for one-point for a 2nd straight series, well that isn't sitting well with the team.

Corban Knight says, "We understand that we only got one point at home this weekend and that's not going to get you far in this league. So, we're going to have to flip the switch and really focus on next week and hope to get more than one point."

Dave Hakstol says, "Our schedule is very difficult, that's going to make us better. It's going to stress us. It's going to make points harder to come by, but it will make us better."
