Shelly home destroyed in overnight fire

SHELLY, Minn. – Firefighters responded to a blaze here at 1 a.m. Saturday that left a home in total loss.
When firefighters arrived, there was smoke and fire coming from the windows of the home, said Shelly Fire Chief Todd Siemieniewski.
No one was home at the time of the fire.
As of 9:30 a.m. Shelly firefighters were still on scene to prevent the fire from spreading, Siemieniewski said.
Fire crews from Ada, Climax, Nielsville, Halstad and Hendrum also responded to the blaze.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Siemieniewski said.
