Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- Some of the North Dakota's oldest, historic money is on the auction block this weekend. It is an update to a story we first brought you last night.

Today, the owner of all those old National Bank bills from across the state, displayed the million dollar collection at the Double Wood Inn. The currency dates back as far as the Dakota Territory. And all have the names of small North Dakota towns.

Glen Jorde has spent years collecting the bills. Some come from towns and banks no longer around. 391 different lots from more than a hundred North Dakota towns are up for sale tomorrow.

Lynn Knight, currency aucioneer, says, "oh, people collect paper money because it's art and it's history - they're definitely works of art."
