(WDAY TV) -- The second half of the Summit League men's basketball season tips off on Saturday for NDSU and in a place where the Bison lost by 23 points last year; Brookings; South Dakota.
Round two with the Bison and Jacks promises to be much closer on Saturday,
NDSU won the opening game earlier this year.
It was the Nate Wolters show last year at Frost Arena; he racked up 30 points on NDSU and didn't play the final 12 minutes. The Bison turned the ball over 16 times and don't need any reminders about their worst loss in five years.
Nate Zastrow says, "We still watch that film, learn from that game, obviously we were a younger team last year and we are more experienced this year, we still have the same core team. We learned some things from that game, we learned some things from the game earlier this year so hopefully we change a little bit."
Saul Phillips, NDSU Head Coach, says, "We were in a little different place last year at that time than we are right now. I don't think I have to mention to the guys that were there last year. I know they have memories and had feelings that were pretty strong after that game. I look at this as a terrific opportunity for us and if you look at the standings the way they are and can potentially play out, it's a very big game but there is going to be a lot of other big games after that too."
It's a 2pm tip on Saturday, NDSU has won 3 of the last 4 games at Frost Arena.
